The village of Ranworth, whose church is known as the "Cathedral of the Broads", is just a mile and a half away and the holiday village of Wroxham is 4 miles. The impressive gardens at East Ruston, Fairhaven Garden Trust and Strumpshaw Bird Reserve are all worthwhile visits.

There are many country houses and National Trust properties within easy reach. The Weavers Way walking trail runs just a few miles away. You are only 14 miles from the coast with it's fine sandy beaches.

The historic city of Norwich, complete with it's range of high street shops, quirky boutiques and famous open air traditional market place is just 8 miles away, and has a selection of museums and tourist attractions.
